Spring here sneaks up on you,
As you're moving snow
And keeping the fire going.
Winter needs to be pushed aside.
She has too much bulk to
Leave easily of her own accord.
Frequently it seems
Spring may not be
Up to the effort
That winter is just too massive.
Then comes the first Trillium.
Not even winter can resist.
